Trisha Illana Nayanthara (If not Trisha, then Nayanthara) is a 2015 Indian Tamil comedy film written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran. The film features G. V. Prakash Kumar, Anandhi and Manisha Yadav in the leading roles,[1][2] with Simran portraying a supporting role.[3] The film was also dubbed in Telugu as Trisha Leda Nayanthara. The film has received mixed reviews from critics.
When Jeeva was born he was born together with two other girls (Aditi and Ramya) due to the shortage of room in the hospital. Jeeva is close to his uncle Vishu and asks for his advice every time when he has problems with girls. The three of them grew up together since young.
When they are studying together in higher secondary, one day Aditi leaves to Bangalore for one week. During this time, Ramya and Jeeva fall in love. Jeeva fears to propose Ramya whereas Ramya proposes to Jeeva and he accepts. That night Ramya visits Jeeva and have romance while roaming around the city. Jeeva revealed to his friend accidentally about his make out session with Ramya. It then started to spread around the school and Ramya got angry with Jeeva and dumped him. She left Chennai to forget him. As she was leaving, Aditi calls Jeeva and proposes her love to Jeeva on the phone which Jeeva accepts.
Their relationship was going well for almost 3 years. One day, Jeeva found out that Aditi was drinking and forced her in giving up drinking as he hates girls drinking. She promised to stop drinking but one day he saw Aditi drinking in a club. He became so angry, scolded her in front of everyone, and left her. Jeeva tells all his story to Ticket collector and finally reaches Kumbakonam where his uncle is living.
In railway station, Vishnu receives Jeeva. Jeeva ask Vishu for advice which he says if one girl leaves there is always another one. Jeeva then sees Ramya there and fall for her again. He goes after her but she chase him off again because of what happen in school days. There Vishnu tells him to get into contact with Ramya's aunt. He then tries to make Ramya fall in love again with the help of her aunt doubting whether he can succeed or not.
He Gets close with ramya's aunt simran (Simran (actress)), with simran's help finally he successfully woos ramya again. when they are about to be united he asks ramya 5 questions as he didn't know what happened to her these 3 years when he was not with her. The final question turns out to be is ramya a virgin or did she have sex with her ex lover (ramya had a breakup recently). Initially Ramya gets angry by that question but finally confesses that she is not virgin as she had sex with her ex lover Harish Arya (actor) (cameo appearance) . on hearing this Jeeva gets angry and immediately asks ramya to call Harish. Harish arrives at the scene and tries to convince Jeeva that they had sex only once. But Jeeva becomes more angry. cursing that the curse of virgin boys won't leave these kind of girls and leaves that place immediately. Ramya and Harish are united again
Feeling disgusted he plans to leave kumbakonam and goes back to chennai once for all and tells his uncle that he wants only a virgin girl, but his uncle scolds him by saying that nowadays virgin girls are really hard to be found. but jeeva sticks with his policy and leaves for the train which has started moving. he tries to catch the train and sees one hand extended from train compartment to help him board inside. that is Priya Anand (cameo appearance)
He tells thanks to priya and sits besides in the train trying to flirt with her by asking about her whereabouts. she replies trichy and he decides to follow which symbolizes the audience that jeeva is on a new mission trying to woo priya
Simran was revealed to also be a part of the cast in February 2015, and made a comeback to Tamil films after a brief time out.[9] Priya Anand shot with the team in June 2015, making a guest appearance in the film.[10] Arya also was selected by the team to portray another cameo role, in the film.[11]

Production
The film was first announced in late December 2013, when G. V. Prakash Kumar revealed that he would be working on a film with debutant director Adhik Ravichandran for a "romantic comedy along the lines of Selvaraghavan movies, with Soodhu Kavvum treatment".[4] The project was confirmed in March 2014 with a tentative title of Trisha Illana Nayanthara announced, and veteran director Bharathiraja and actress Sridevi were approached to play supporting roles, though neither subsequently were signed.[5] As the film featured the names of two prominent actresses in the Tamil film industry, the respective actresses, Trisha and Nayanthara had to provide a No Objection Certificate, permitting the team to register the title.[6] Actresses Anandhi and Manisha Yadav were signed on to play the lead actresses.[7] In order to prepare for his role, Prakash undertook a diet regime and sported a thick beard.[8]Simran was revealed to also be a part of the cast in February 2015, and made a comeback to Tamil films after a brief time out.[9] Priya Anand shot with the team in June 2015, making a guest appearance in the film.[10] Arya also was selected by the team to portray another cameo role, in the film.[11]

G. V. Prakash Kumar composed the songs, Kabilan, Rokesh and Na. Muthukumar wrote the lyrics. Sony Music released the album on 4 June 2015.
