Daddy's Home is an upcoming American comedy film directed by Sean Anders and written by Brian Burns.[2] The film stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg and Linda Cardellini. Principal photography began on November 17, 2014, in New Orleans, Louisiana. It will mark the second collaboration between Wahlberg and Ferrell, following the 2010 action-comedy film The Other Guys. The film is scheduled to be released on December 25, 2015, by Paramount Pictures.
Casting[edit]
On November 5, 2014, it was confirmed that Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg would be starring for lead roles in the film.[3][7] On November 12, Linda Cardellini joined the cast of the film to play Ferrell's character's wife.[4] On November 18, Hannibal Buressjoined the film to play a sarcastic handyman who believes that the stepdad is a racist.[5] On January 28, 2015, Paul Scheer was added to the cast of the film, he would play The Whip, a crazy DJ.[6]
Filming[edit]
The principal photography on the film began on November 17, 2014, in New Orleans, Louisiana.[8][9] On November 24 and 25, filming took place at Edward Hynes Charter School.[10] On January 12, 2015, actors were spotted filming in Lakeview area.[11] On January 21, 2015, a scene was shot during a New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Lakers game where Ferrell smashed a cheerleader (played by stuntwoman/wrestler Taryn Terrell) in the face with a basketball.[12] Filming was scheduled to wrap on February 3, 2015, but lasted through February 6
